The homecourt of “Tyfonas” BC in Neo Irakleio is the 10th Giant Heart court that was renovated by novibet!
The 10th Giant Heart is now beating in the area of Neo Irakleio, Attica, as novibet, through its “Giant Heart” social contribution program, has renovated the basketball court of “Tyfonas” local basketball team, in a gesture of social contribution to the residents of the area.
Aiming, among other things, to provide high quality sports facilities for local communities and especially young people, novibet – through the Giant Heart program – continues to renovate sports courts that need maintenance. Having two highly respectable allies; the extraordinary “Greek Freak”, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the international “Greek Scouser”, Kostas Tsimikas, novibet through this initiative aims to significantly improve the lives of many of our fellow citizens throughout Greece.
This time novibet addressed the needs of “Tyfonas”, Neo Irakleio’s local basketball team, and Giant Heart’s crew undertook the functional as well as the aesthetic upgrade of the team’s open court last February. The renovation of Giant Heart’s 10th court included among other things the painting of the floor as well as the upgrading of the baskets along with their backboards and nets.
Renovating the court of a local team like “Tyfonas”, which hosts over 300 children from the surrounding area is of “crucial importance”, as stated by Mr. Dimitris Georgalas, a representative of the team. As he also stressed: “the club’s philosophy is to bring more children into sports, as through the important values that a sport like basketball teaches, it promotes the development of team spirit and social skills among young people”, while also adding that after the renovation, the court attracted more children in becoming members of the basketball club.
As Christoforos Bozatzidis, Chief Marketing Officer of novibet, pointed out: “novibet fulfilled its goal, as it created an exceptional court for the area of Neo Irakleio, one that exceeds the expectations of local residents, motivating at the same time the younger people of the area to put sports in their everyday life. The new court will also upgrade the quality of “Tyfonas” club training sessions since the athletes will now benefit significantly in the practical aspects of their training.”
