Novibet, through its social responsibility program Giant Heart, joins forces with ELIZA Society and the program’s ambassador, Kostas Tsimikas, to implement educational initiatives in sports academies across Greece. The initiative aims to strengthen a safe environment for children and adolescents through awareness and prevention.
Specifically, the “Safe Touch” program empowers children to recognize their body boundaries and understand how to seek support from trusted individuals, while contributing to the creation of a safe and supportive sports environment. The program has been scientifically approved by “The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children” and is part of the Skills Labs of the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP). It is delivered by specialized professionals, with full respect for the psychosocial development of children.
At the same time, the “How to Say Yes and No” program is designed for adolescents, fostering skills related to personal boundaries, communication, and safe decision-making in interpersonal relationships.
In parallel, the initiative includes training for coaches and academy staff on the early identification and responsible management of potential incidents. In this context, the ELIZA Helpline 10454 operates, providing free guidance and support to individuals who are close to children and are concerned about their safety.
The initiative was successfully launched in Thessaloniki. On Saturday, April 25, the seminars took place at Aris Sports Club in collaboration with Aris FC, while on Sunday, April 26, the initiative continued at Iraklis Basketball Academy, in collaboration with Iraklis BC.
The initiative will continue in the upcoming months across academies of teams supported by Novibet.
Novibet and Giant Heart remain committed to investing in initiatives with meaningful social impact, strengthening the safety of children in sports.
